Everything you need to know about managing your parking spot with Quick Park.

Overview

Quick Park is a smart parking management system that lets you control access to your private parking spot from anywhere. A small e-paper display device is attached to your spot and communicates with this web app over WiFi.

Rental Slots
Define when your spot is open for public booking.
Guest Plates
Temporarily grant access to a specific vehicle.
Bookings
Customers reserve your spot via a QR code link.

Getting Started

1
Power on your device

Plug in the QuickPark device at your parking spot. It will boot up and display a QR code on its e-paper screen.

2
Connect to WiFi

Scan the setup QR code or go to /wifisetup/ on your phone while connected to the device's hotspot. Enter your home WiFi credentials so the device can reach the internet.

3
Register the device

Scan the registration QR code displayed on the device screen, or follow the link on your dashboard. The device is then linked to your account.

4
Set your license plate

On the device page, enter the plate number of the vehicle that normally occupies this spot. The device will display it so parking enforcement can verify.

Your Dashboard

The home page lists all your registered parking devices. Each row shows a device name, the current owner plate, and two status indicators:

Badge Meaning
Online Device checked in within the last 30 minutes — it is connected and updating.
Offline No check-in recently. Check WiFi or device power.
Rented A customer booking is currently active on this spot.
Guest A temporary guest plate change is active.
Open Within a rental slot window — available for customers to book.
Private No active slot — spot is reserved for the owner only.

Calendar

The weekly calendar on each device page gives you a bird's-eye view of everything scheduled for that spot. Use the and buttons to navigate between weeks without reloading the page.

Color coding
Green — Rental Slot. This window is open for public booking.
Yellow — Guest Plate. A specific vehicle has temporary access.
Blue — Booking. A customer has reserved this slot.
Interacting with the calendar
  • Click an empty cell — a popover appears with quick links to add a Rental Slot or Guest Plate starting at that time.
  • Click a Rental Slot (green) — see its time range, and Edit / Delete action buttons.
  • Click a Guest Plate (yellow) — see the plate number and time range.
  • Click a Booking (blue) — see the customer's plate and time range.

Rental Slots

A Rental Slot defines a window of time during which your parking spot is available for anyone to book via the public QR code link. Outside of these windows the spot is considered private and no bookings are accepted.

Adding a slot

Click Add Rental Slot on the device page, or click any empty cell in the calendar. Set the start and end date/time, then save.

Editing or deleting

Click the green event block in the calendar, then choose Edit or Delete from the popover. You can also use the Active Rental Slots table below the calendar.

Tip: Rental slots can span multiple days. For example, set Mon 08:00 → Fri 20:00 to keep your spot available all week.

Guest Plates

A Guest Plate (temporary plate change) lets you authorise a specific vehicle to use your spot for a defined period — without opening it to public bookings. The device's e-paper screen will display the guest plate number during this window.

Common uses: a visiting friend or family member, a contractor working at your property, or a colleague borrowing your assigned bay.

Adding a guest plate

Click Add Guest Plate on the device page, enter the vehicle's plate number and the start/end times, then save. The yellow block will appear on the calendar immediately.

Note: Guest plates do not overlap with bookings. If a booking is already in place, the guest plate entry will still be stored but the display will show the booked plate.

Bookings

When your spot is within an active Rental Slot, anyone can scan the QR code on the device screen to book it. They enter their plate number, choose a duration, and pay (if you have set a price). You receive an email confirmation.

Booking flow for customers
  1. Customer scans the QR code on the device → opens the booking page.
  2. Customer enters their license plate number and desired end time.
  3. If the spot has a price set, they are taken to a secure payment page.
  4. On successful payment, their plate appears on the e-paper display.
  5. A confirmation link is emailed so they can view or extend the booking later.
Pricing & payouts

Set Price per hour and Currency in the device settings. Leave the price at 0 to allow free bookings. Payments are processed by Stripe and collected by Quick Park.

How payouts work: Quick Park retains a 25% platform commission on each booking. The remaining 75% is transferred to your registered bank account at the end of each calendar month. Make sure your payout details are up to date in your account settings.
